An engaged and committed teaching artist, Diana specializes in teaching songwriting and collaborative creation. As a music director for Second City Training Center, she taught classes and workshops in comedic songwriting and music improvisation for improv comedy. From 2014-2019, Diana was a music director, composer and teaching artist with Storycatchers Theatre, an organization that creates original musical theatre with incarcerated youth. She is also a member Emeritus of Playmakers Laboratory, a company that teaches creative writing workshops in Chicago public schools and then adapts students’ work to then perform for school and public audiences.
Currently, Diana teaches musical theatre composition at Chicago Dramatists and is a music director for TADA! Youth Theatre. She also offers adult and young-adult private lessons in composition, songwriting, voice and piano, and develops and implements workshop curriculum with her cross-genre female vocal trio, Artemisia.
